Caregiving at Work Forum

Caregiving is increasingly shaping the American workplace, affecting employees across life stages as they balance professional responsibilities with caring for children, aging parents, family members with disabilities and others who need support. The 2026 Caregiving at Work Forum will bring together employers, HR and benefits leaders, consultants, brokers, researchers and solution providers for a timely discussion about how organizations can better understand and support working caregivers.
Presented by the Employee Benefit Research Institute and Greenwald Research, the forum will follow the theme “Research to Impact: Keeping Caregivers Connected to Work.” The program will combine new research, employer perspectives, and practical examples to examine the caregiving landscape; workplace and policy implications; emerging benefit strategies; and the business value of helping caregivers remain engaged, productive, and connected to the work force.
Sessions will explore the many forms caregiving can take, including support for young children, older adults, family members with disabilities, and individuals managing chronic health conditions. The forum will also examine why many employees do not identify themselves as caregivers, how caregiving responsibilities can affect financial security and work force participation, and what employers can do to respond more effectively.
